About This Service

Solar Installation & Repairs

ElectricalPro is a CEC-accredited solar installer with more than a decade of solar work behind us and over 20 years in the electrical trade since 2003. We work across Murray Bridge and the Adelaide Hills, designing systems around your roof orientation, energy use and budget, using tier-one panels and inverters from Fronius, SMA, Enphase and SolarEdge. Our customers commonly install 6.6kW systems, through to 8kW and 10kW for larger households and businesses.

Solar Installation & Repairs by ElectricalPro

Every job starts with a site assessment covering roof structure, shading through the day, and your past energy consumption, so the system is sized to your actual usage. Brighte finance is available with flexible payment plans and no upfront cost. We handle new installations, upgrades that add battery storage with Tesla Powerwall or BYD, and repairs to underperforming systems installed by someone else. We also take care of the SA Power Networks grid connection paperwork and commissioning.

For commercial sites we design larger systems that offset daytime running costs and can tie into demand management.

Common faults we repair include micro-inverter failures, DC isolator degradation, panel-level optimiser problems and earth fault alarms. Servicing covers both sides of the system. On the electrical side we check isolator condition, DC connections, mounting hardware, earthing and inverter performance. On the panels themselves, dust and agricultural residue cut output badly in regional SA, so cleaning is part of a service visit rather than an afterthought.

South Australia leads the country in rooftop solar, with over 40 percent of homes now fitted with panels. We set up monitoring through apps like SolarEdge or Fronius Solar.web. For commercial sites we design larger systems that offset daytime running costs and can tie into demand management.

What We Offer

Solar Installation & Repairs at a Glance

Repairs & Fault Diagnosis

We diagnose and repair solar faults including micro-inverter failures, DC isolator degradation, panel-level optimiser issues and earth fault alarms. Our team services systems from other installers across the Murray Bridge region, restoring underperforming systems to full output.

Battery Storage & Upgrades

Add Tesla Powerwall or BYD battery storage to your existing solar system for energy independence. We handle full system upgrades and retrofits, integrating battery storage with your current panels and inverter for maximum self-consumption.

Panel Cleaning & Maintenance

Electrical testing of the parts of a solar system that fail with age: isolators, DC connections, mounting hardware and inverter performance. This is licensed electrical work, and it is what actually protects the system rather than the look of the glass.

Real-Time Monitoring

Track your solar generation and savings in real time through SolarEdge and Fronius Solar.web monitoring apps. We configure your system monitoring during installation so you can see exactly how much energy you are producing and saving from day one.

SA Incentives Handled

South Australia has some of the highest electricity prices in the country, which is what makes rooftop solar worth doing here. We help you navigate the available incentives and choose the right system size based on your actual usage data.

Commercial Solar Solutions

We design larger solar systems for businesses that offset daytime operational costs and reduce overheads. Our commercial installations integrate with demand management systems to maximise self-consumption during business hours.

How It Works

Our Process

From initial contact to completed job, here's what to expect.

  1. Site Assessment

We visit your property to evaluate roof orientation, structural suitability, shading patterns and your energy usage history. We use satellite imagery and on-site measurements to design the optimal panel layout for maximum generation.

  2. System Design & Quote

Based on the assessment, we design a custom system sized to your consumption and budget. You receive a detailed proposal including panel and inverter specifications, expected generation, payback period, and available financing options including Brighte.

  3. Professional Installation

Our CEC-accredited team installs your system: typically in a single day for residential projects. We handle all mounting, wiring, inverter installation and switchboard work with full compliance to Australian Standards and Clean Energy Council guidelines.

  4. Grid Connection & Monitoring

We complete all SA Power Networks grid connection paperwork, configure your system monitoring app, and walk you through how to track your generation and savings. Your system is producing clean energy and earning feed-in credits from day one.

Our Work

Solar Installations Across the Adelaide Hills and Murraylands

Most of what we install sits between 6.6kW and 13kW. A 6.6kW system suits a household using a normal amount of power that wants to cover its daytime use. Ten and 13kW systems go on homes running air conditioning through summer, a pool pump, a workshop, or a car that charges at home.

Roofs differ more than system sizes do. The Adelaide Hills runs cooler than the plains, which suits panel efficiency, but tree cover means shading has to be assessed on the actual roof rather than assumed from the postcode. Out through the Murraylands the problem reverses: plenty of sun, and summer heat that decides where an inverter should be mounted.

We work with Fronius, SMA, Sungrow, Goodwe, Enphase and SolarEdge inverters. Which one goes on a roof depends on the shading, the orientation and whether a battery is coming later, not on what we happen to have in the van.

What's Included

The Components We Fit

What goes on the roof, what goes on the wall, and who stands behind it.

Tier 1 Panels

We only fit panels from Bloomberg-rated Tier 1 manufacturers. Tier 1 is a bankability rating rather than a quality score, and it is what decides whether the maker is still around when a warranty claim lands years later.

Inverters

Fronius and SMA string inverters on a straightforward roof, Enphase micro-inverters or SolarEdge optimisers where shading has to be worked around panel by panel.

Mounting

Australian-engineered rails and feet rated for local wind loading, with stainless fixings and properly flashed penetrations. Bracket points are where a roof leaks if the mounting is done cheaply.

Live Monitoring

Generation, consumption and savings on your phone through SolarEdge or Fronius Solar.web. We set it up during commissioning rather than leaving you an app and a password.

Grid Connection

We lodge the SA Power Networks connection application, arrange the meter reconfiguration and commission the system, so nothing about the paperwork lands on you.

Warranties

Panels and inverters carry their manufacturer performance and product warranties, and our own workmanship warranty covers the installation itself. The terms that apply to your system are written into the quote.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a solar system cost in Murray Bridge?

It depends on the system size, your roof, the condition of your switchboard and whether you add a battery, so we quote each job rather than publish a figure. The quote is free and no-obligation, and it sets out the panel and inverter specification, the expected generation and the rebate paperwork we handle for you.

How long does a solar installation take?

Most residential installations are completed in a single day. Larger commercial systems or installations that require switchboard upgrades may take 2-3 days. We handle all the paperwork and grid connection for you.

What size solar system do I need for my home?

It comes down to how much power you use, how much roof you have and which way it faces. A Murray Bridge household using 20 to 30kWh a day is usually well served by something between 6.6kW and 10kW. During the site assessment we go through twelve months of bills and measure the usable roof, then size the system off that rather than off an average.

Do I still get a feed-in tariff in South Australia?

Yes. South Australian households can still be paid by their retailer for solar exported to the grid, but the rates are set by retailers rather than the government and they have fallen a long way from where they started. That is why system design now aims at using your own generation in the house instead of exporting as much as possible, and why storage is worth costing out.

Do you repair solar systems you didn't install?

Absolutely. We service and repair all brands and system types, regardless of who installed them. Common issues include inverter faults, panel degradation, and wiring problems.

Is battery storage worth it in South Australia?

With SA electricity prices among the highest in the country and feed-in tariffs declining, battery storage is increasingly worthwhile. We can assess your usage patterns and recommend whether a battery will deliver a good return for your situation.

What solar rebates are available in SA?

The federal Small-scale Technology Certificate (STC) rebate applies nationally and comes off the installed price. The amount depends on the system size and the year of installation, and we work it out for your system as part of the quote. We handle all rebate paperwork as part of our installation service.

Local Knowledge

Solar Installation & Repairs in Murray Bridge & Adelaide Hills

South Australia has the highest rooftop solar penetration in the country, with over 40 percent of homes fitted with panels. Murray Bridge and the Adelaide Hills average 4.5 to 5.2 peak sun hours a day, which makes this one of the most productive parts of the state for solar generation. SA Power Networks handles all grid connection applications, and we complete that paperwork on your behalf with every installation. The state government continues to support solar through streamlined approvals, alongside the federal STC rebate scheme.
